You can request to withdraw from your studies through the Student Record System (SRS).

For more details on the process, watch our video guide on How to Submit a Withdrawal Request. This will show how to complete your withdrawal request.

Once you have completed your request it will pass through a number of approval routes before being passed to Student Records for processing.

You can track the status of your application and which stage it is at on your Interruptions, Withdrawals and Change of Programme Dashboard on SRS. Your interruption is not completed until you have received confirmation it has been processed.

We advise you to discuss your decision with your faculty for a full understanding of the implications.

We also recommend you discuss with the organisation that represents you and students in your area:

  • Students’ Guild, for students on our Exeter campuses
  • Students’ Union, for students in Cornwall

Withdrawing from your studies may impact your:

  • student visa
  • accommodation
  • funding
  • future study

There is further information and support available to help you decide.

If you cannot access or complete the form, please contact your Faculty Info Point.
